Potty Training
Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know when my toddler is ready to start potty training?

Some signs that your toddler is ready to start potty training include when they tug at their diaper, ask for you to change their diaper, tell you they need to go potty, take an interest in you using the potty, or stay dry for extended periods, such as after a nap. To further answer your question, try taking our comprehensive readiness quiz to help determine if your child is ready for toilet training.

Do you potty train children with autism or other learning disabilities?

Yes, I do. Before starting Baby's First Flush, I worked as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for six years and as a Registered Behavior Technician for four years. I have extensive experience working with children with various disabilities, and I welcome everyone. You can rest assured that your child will receive the best care and support.

How long does it take to fully potty train?

Potty training starts with two days of intensive training. After these two days, parents should continue the potty training. As the process continues, children will begin asking to use the potty independently, and accidents will decrease over time.

What if the process isn't complete once the sessions have ended?

After the in-person coaching ends, Maria will be available by phone for any questions. A virtual visit is also available if needed. This ongoing support is designed to give you peace of mind and ensure a successful potty training journey.

Are there any guarantees?

Due to the unpredictable nature of human learning, there are no guarantees. Parents are required to continue the process after Maria leaves. Consistency is critical to successful potty training. If questions come up, Maria is available to assist even after she has left your home.
